The Margazhi music & dance festival of 2018-19 will see thousands of performances take place at several dozen venues across Chennai. Even if you are the most informed sabha patron, keeping track of each of them is an almost impossible task. I have been asked on several occasions to suggest performances to attend, and tips for the best, well-rounded Margazhi experience.
As I am plugged into the performance arts space, I decided to put my knowledge to good use. Throughout this season, I will be recommending music and dance performances. In addition to this, I will be posting updates about completed performances, bringing in guest bloggers, interviewing artists and a lot more.
If you are new to this festival, the goal is to make your endeavour of attending performances a little bit easier. If you are a sabha veteran, I look forward to interacting with you through this blog.
