We are delighted to collaborate with Writer, Dancer and Educator Kumudha Chandrasekaran to present an unique topic: LEARNING UNLEARNING
(October 10th & 11th, 2020 at 9.30 - 11.30am IST)
Learning in dance is cyclic, like every important life process. Every learning, big or small, is completed and reinforced by Unlearning. Considering the strange times and circumstances that we are in today, this event is intended at foregrounding learning to unlearn. With an eclectic and cross-sectional panel of artists, sharing from their process, we are eager to unpack the Why, How and What of unlearning in dance.
The two day event will feature Priyadarsini Govind, Madhu Nataraj, Umesh Shetty, Vidhya Subramanian, Shreelakshmy Govardhan, Sanjukta Wagh, Shweta Prachande, Shabari Rao, Masoom Parmar and Karuna Sagari.

We were delighted to collaborate with the Lalgudi Trust for the grand virtual celebrations of the 90th Birth Anniversary of the violin maestro - Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman on Sunday, 20th September 2020 at 5pm (IST) on Lalgudi Jayaraman - God of Violin YouTube Channel.
We spent months working closely with Violinists Sri. Lalgudi GJR Krishnan and Smt. Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi to carefully ideate and produce this exclusive event step by step and we are delighted with the way everything has come together.
We had an exciting lineup of artists and music for you! This includes specially produced classical music, dance videos, and interviews with leading artists in the field, Vidwans from the performance world sharing their tributes, a grand Thillana with a galaxy of A-listers and unseen footage of the maestro himself, as part of the celebration.

Critiquing Oneself
Dance Reflections is a 3-part series, addressing the critical topic of the art of critiquing oneself. Each session will feature three guests who will talk about their journey and practice, when it comes to self-critiquing, with Christopher Gurusamy. There will also be an interactive segment towards the end of the conversation, where all three panelists and Christopher take part.

An archive can be an invaluable records that's can will survive beyond the artist and be a reference for future artists and audiences.

We are collaborating with Aanamjothi to curate and coordinate episodes for a unique online series titled Thursdays with the Guru Series presented by Chennai UCCN in association with Hindu Tamil Thisai. Each episode will feature eminent Gurus and their star disciples from the vast ocean of South Indian performing arts, to celebrate their style and legacy, and will be a combination of interactive performance and conversation. These specially curated episodes will premiere every Thursday on The Hindu Tamil's Facebook, Youtube and Instagram Pages.

& Madras Craft FoundationWe were delighted to present the 5th edition of DakshinaChitra's Annual Music and Dance Festival. This year, we partnered with Kalakshetra Foundation for the festival who hosted the morning sessions while the evening performances (by artists under the age of 21) were held at DakshinaChitra.
Utsavam's 2020 theme was exploring "The Future of the Arts". This event is curated as an exercise in Visioning the Arts through Conversation and Performance. This theme will be explored by stalwarts, leaders, influencers and exquisite young artistes, through panel discussions, lectures, lecture demonstrations and performances.

CO-OPTEXShreya Nagarajan Singh hosted a very unique experiential evening presented by Co-optex - Delta Delights. Delta Delights brought in a historian, a chef and the Co-optex team, to bring attention to weavers and their beautiful weaves, the history of temples in the region and samplings of traditional food from the region to give invited attendees a comprehensive evening that they won't soon forget.

CHENNAI SYMPOSIUMSNS worked with the East-West Center on event curation, coordination, management. The goal was to develop an environment for 26 participants from 17 nationalities to interact and learn together about leadership. The 2019 program of the Asia-Pacific Leadership Program was launched in Chennai at this time.

KALPANARTS
SIMEON, is an ensemble work created by dancer-choreographer Kalpana Raghuraman. This work is a tribute to the music of the Dutch contemporary composer Simeon ten Holt. Music performed by Matangi String Quartet performed by KalpanArts. Simeon will be touring in India in June and July 2018.
